The square in front of the former Monastery of Santa Maria Assunta in Cairate has been redeveloped to transform the urban space, previously used as a parking lot and weekly market, into a meeting place and a focal point for the local community.

The interventions have redefined the square, making it accessible and multifunctional. The installation of seating, shade, and other street furniture has fostered social interaction and inclusion. Gathering spaces have been created that encourage intergenerational encounters, and access to the former Monastery has been enhanced, making it more visible and attractive for residents and visitors.
