Marc Aurel is a French architect who graduated from the Ecoles d’Arts et d’Architecture in Marseille and began his career focusing on urban planning. In 1996, he founded MA Studio, which specializes in designing public spaces, both in terms of urban planning and lighting. His design philosophy aims to highlight the influences between contemporary art, cinema, architecture, and design.
He collaborates with major European companies, designing mass-produced industrial products and urban furniture elements. Since 1997, Marc Aurel has taught at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Marseille, and from 2002, he has been the head of design at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Réunion Island.
