Modi’in is an Israeli city located in the Shfela region, close to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem: it was laid in 1993 and today has reached a population of around 100,000 people.
Modi’in is relatively new and is the first modern city to be planned in Israel: on the basis of the site’s unique topography and landscape, Modi’in was constructed as a green city with open communal spaces placed between stepping neighborhoods, reducing the impact of cars to the center and improving the city’s environmental standards in general.
The municipality of the city, together with the help of the government, has engaged in organizing the future development and growth of the city through several urban planning and smart technology projects. Among these, there is the so-called Central Business Center (CBC) project, which aims at constructing commercial, office and housing spaces in the center of Modi’in.
The purpose of the project is to build a Hi-Tech area of buildings, parks, neighborhoods and shopping centers which will become the heart of the entertainment and business district of the city.
The CBC project is being realized by SHLOMO ARONSON ARCHITECTS, an office of landscape architects from Jerusalem. SHLOMO ARONSON ARCHITECTS have contacted us since they wanted to decorate the area with benches that were long-lasting and maintainable, but still prestigious and fine-looking.
We understood that our “Riva Benches” were right up their alley: durable and lifelong seats, yet still preserving a stylish and modern look, our Riva Benches proved to be the perfect solution for the Modi’in project.
