Palazzo Te and the park area, covering approximately 80,000 square meters, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The history of the site and the extraordinary stratification of historical and cultural traces embedded there were the focus of the project.
The park in numbers includes: 16 green islands, 4 thematic gardens, 140 light fixtures, 6 fountains with 5 water features each, 40 bicycle racks, 30 BOX WOOD wastebaskets, 96 benches along the park’s perimeter, 213 chairs, 2 dog areas, and 4 FUENTE fountains.
Palazzo Te is a Renaissance villa located in the southern part of the city of Mantua. Built between 1524 and 1534 by order of the Marquis of Mantua, Federico II Gonzaga, it is the most famous work of the Italian architect and painter Giulio Romano.
The complex is home to the Civic Museum and, since 1990, the Palazzo Te International Center of Art and Culture, which organizes exhibitions of ancient and modern art and architecture.
