The taxi shelter consists of a continuous structure made of Corten steel and glass, 80 meters long. The walls of the modules are made of glass. An LED strip on the intrados of the front beam enhances lighting at night.
The shelter’s structure is made of Corten steel, in keeping with the other structures built for the exterior of the Padua train station: the tourist information office, the taxi rank, and the municipal police station.
Padua is a city in the Veneto region of Northern Italy, known for Giotto’s frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel, dating from 1303-05, and the large 13th-century Basilica of Saint Anthony. The basilica, featuring Byzantine-style domes and valuable artwork, houses the tomb of the saint for whom it is dedicated. The city’s historic center features porticoed streets and elegant cafés frequented by students of the University of Padua, founded in 1222.
