Davide Fancello (Nuoro, 1985) graduated from the Faculty of Construction Engineering-Architecture at the University of Cagliari in 2010 with a thesis on urban regeneration entitled “urban voids and building cells in Dorgali, a project for the sustainable regeneration of the historic centre”. The project won the fourth edition of the Landscape Award of the Region of Sardinia.
Since 2011 he has been working as a freelance professional with an operative base in Dorgali.
Through his activity he promotes the culture of design through a language capable of combining contemporary architecture with the traditional architecture linked to the context in which he works.
During the first years of his profession, he focused his activity on urban and building recovery, firmly convinced that it is necessary to renew urban spaces and recover the built environment, avoiding unnecessary land consumption. He has been active in proposing some projects for the urban recovery of the historical centre of Dorgali, activating a dialogue between the citizens and the administration.
