We design our products to:

reduce processing operations decreasing energy consumption;

use materials mindfully reducing waste;

allow for professional recycling at the end of our products’ life cycles.
We select only recyclable materials and, when possible, we employ also materials from recycled sources.
We control their safety, quality, origin and sustainability, choosing suppliers who share our environmental and social values.
The Italian plants (street furniture) use 100% sustainable certified energy for their production, and we have always believed and invested in renewable energy solutions.
More than 7.500 solar panels, installed on the roofs of our production plants, produce 1870 Mwh of clean energy per year.
Thanks to our solar systems we prevent every year the emission in the atmosphere of approx. 850 tons of CO2 and we avoid to burn approx. 340 tons of oil equivalent.

UNI EN ISO 14001 certification
- UNI EN ISO 14001 certification, which demonstrates within Metalco the presence of an Environmental Management System aimed at achieving virtuous objectives in terms of environmental performance.
FSC certification
- FSC certification, which guarantees that the wood-based raw material used in the product comes from an FSC-certified forest, managed in a sustainable manner, in line with the most rigorous environmental, social and economic requirements and protecting workers’ rights throughout the chain of custody.
Certification UNI EN ISO 9001
- UNI EN ISO 9001 certification, which defines the minimum requirements that the Quality Management System must demonstrate to guarantee the level of product quality that it claims to possess.
ECOVADIS certification
- EcoVadis certification which provides a detailed assessment of the company’s sustainability performance in areas such as the environment, labour practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
Hen 1090 certification
- Hen 1090 – 1:2009+A1:2011 certification, concerning the performance characteristics of structural components made of steel and aluminium, which allows the CE marking to be affixed to our products.
Renewable-Energy Certificate of Origin
- Renewable-Energy Certificate of Origin, certifying the origin from 100% renewable sources and quality of the energy used by the entire production plant.
