Urban redevelopment for sport and inclusion
Cesano Maderno, Italy
The Cittadella dei Ragazzi in Cesano Maderno is the result of a redevelopment project aimed at creating an inclusive and accessible area, dedicated to both young athletes and the entire community.
Several seats from the Frank collection, both with and without backrests, have been installed alongside the basketball and volleyball courts, providing a place to rest.
The park is also connected to a bike path, which is why Spyra CL bike racks are also installed.
Designer
Massimo Tasca
Massimo Tasca graduated from the IUAV University of Venice and began his professional career overseeing project development at Metalco, with a particular focus on the interaction between process and design. Massimo Tasca’s work highlights a meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the relationship between landscape and urban design, which is a crucial phase in the development of urban furniture products.
The Municipality of Cesano Maderno received a special mention in the “Urban Space” category for its Cittadella dei Ragazzi, an inclusive green space for sports and recreation named after Altiero Spinelli, created at the Sacra Famiglia in collaboration with the neighborhood committee.
