The publication of the ADI Design Index marks the first step towards the Compasso d’Oro Award. More than 140 experts, divided into three grades of judging, working each year on selecting the products, processes and services. Regional observatories, thematic commissions and committees participate in the of the final selection. This, together with experts, makes up the Permanent Observatory of ADI Design.
Each year the selected products are published in the Index; every three years an International Jury, grant between 10 and 20 Compasso d’Oro awards, after having undertaken between 75 and 150 recommendations in the three recent Index publications (in which a total of around 450 products are published and around 4500 products are presented over the three years). The indicated publication makes up the indicated selections for the Compasso d’Oro Award.
